BIOCOM Institute Programs

BIOCollaborative: This unique platform provides information for individuals in career transition and to those seeking to move up the career ladder in life science. This portal includes instructional resources and industry driven certificate programs that help navigate the highly regulated life science environment and the reality of work in multi-disciplinary teams to meet business goals.

Biotechnology Readiness, Immersion, Certificates and Degrees for Gainful Employment (BRIDGE):  The Institute and partners were awarded $4.95 million from the Department of Labor to link training with employment to address the regional workforce needs of the life science industry. 


Educating and Developing Workers for the Green Economy (EDGE):  The San Diego region was awarded a $4 million grant to implement new workforce training programs for careers in the emerging biofuels and biorenewables sectors through the CA Labor/Workforce Development Agency's "Green Innovation Challenge." 

Scholarship & Education Fund: Supports students demonstrating academic excellence and a desire to pursue research in the life sciences.

San Diego Festival of Science and Engineering: Produced by the BIOCOM Institute, SDFSE is a community event with community collaborators, that educates students across the region about (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) STEM disciplines.
