Presentation Advantage - Presented by 2Connect
This full-day hands-on presentation workshop provides the opportunity for practice, feedback, videotaping and one-on-one coaching for each participant. Think one-on-one coaching in a small group environment. Each participant will present three times, be videotaped and receive group and one-on-one feedback.
When participants have completed this workshop, they will be able to:

BioBriefing - Presented by Biotech Primer
The one-day BioBriefing course provides a concise overview of the key concepts of modern biology and an introduction to the technology and terminology used in the biotech and life science industries.
BioTech Primer classes are specifically geared toward the non-science professional who needs to better understand industry terminology, science, techniques and issues. Engaging, credentialed instructors teach individuals with a wide variety of backgrounds how new discoveries have driven innovation and applications in the biotechnology and life sciences industries. A reference manual with a glossary of scientific terms, breakfast, lunch and refreshments are included.
Topics to be covered include: Industry Overview, Biology Basics, DNA Basics, Genomics, Gene Expression, Genetic Engineering and Proteomics.

BioTech Primer, Inc. provides basic biotechnology education and training for non-science professionals. Lecture combined with hands-on activities and small class size ensures a productive, relaxed learning environment.
CDERLearn
CDERLearn is the web page for educational tutorials offered by the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER), part of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). CDER's primary mission is to make certain that safe and effective drugs are available to the American people. There is, however, a strategic initiative to inform and educate people about the safe use of medicine, the drug regulatory process, the vital role health care professionals play to assist FDA in fulfilling its duties, and many other important issues. Online training is one way to share FDA expertise with many more people than face-to-face classroom sessions would allow, and we will offer additional CDER courses in the future.
Fundamentals of Clinical Research
Since 1999, Medical Research Management Inc. (MRM) has offered the course the "Fundamentals of Clinical Research", designed for individuals that desire to enter the clinical research profession or transition into a CRA (Clinical Research Associate) position. This course offers a comprehensive Education and "Hands-On" Training of the clinical research process, the FDA regulations, GCP (Good Clinical Practice) and the International Conference of Harmonization (ICH) guidelines.
GeneEd
GeneEd provides CME-accredited online learning for the life-science and healthcare professions and best practices training for the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Our CME courses span the entire pharmaceutical development pipeline and healthcare-education spectrum. GeneEd's Biotechnology courses consist of in-depth technical courses on current tools and procedures used by R&D and clinical teams. GeneEd's Regulatory and Compliance courses provide GxP training for clinical sites, CRAs, and management.

MIT OCW is a large-scale, Web-based electronic publishing initiative funded jointly by the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation , MIT, and generous support of the Ab Initio software company. MIT OCW's goals are to: Provide free, searchable access to MIT's course materials for educators, students, and self-learners around the world, and Extend the reach and impact of MIT OCW and the "opencourseware" concept. Currently, over 1550 courses in a variety of fields are available.
Scottish Colleges Biotechnology Consortium (SCBC)
SCBC offers a wide range of biotechnology training for industry technicians and managers. We work closely with industrial partners to design short courses and training programmes tailored towards the needs of our clients. SCBC courses are available as individual units or as part of a number of suggested packages: chemistry, biotechnology, biomanufacturing, biology, core skills, bioprocessing, chemical engineering, and science in business.
